What is a L_pos chain actuator?

최종 수정일: 2022년 8월 15일

In the L_pos chain actuator, the zipper-type roller chain units are interlocked to form a rigid straight member. At this time, all parts such as rollers, link plates, pins, etc. It is a combination of ultra-precision parts made with
Currently, it is a very demanding precision technology that has been successfully manufactured in three countries worldwide: the United States, Japan, and France. In Korea, for the first time in Korea, we applied for a L_pos chain patent at Korea Control Technology (http://facnc.co.kr) and received the award from the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office at the 2016 Invention Patent Competition. The current state of technology at home and abroad shows that the companies that manufacture L_POS chains have succeeded in developing them in Japan (Tsubakimoto), France (Cerapid), and the United States in three countries and are used in various industrial fields.

How it Works

Fixed chain actuators function as rack and pinion linear actuators using articulated racks. Rigid chain actuators typically use limited articulation chains similar to roller chains. It works by engaging a pinion mounted on the drive shaft within the housing. The links of the working members, the "stationary chains", are connected in such a way that they are deflected only on one side in a straight line. As the pinion rotates, the links in the chain rotate 90 degrees through the housing, guiding the chain in a solid, straight shape and effective against tension and compression forces (buckling). Because the actuating member can be folded on its own, it can be stored relatively compactly in a storage magazine in a nested or coiled arrangement. Rigid chain actuators are usually driven by an electric motor. The strongest chains are made of steel.
